This week in the world of reality television wasn't the most exciting but a few things kept us glued to our seats. On Monday's
The Bachelor, Brad battled it out with Bettina over her disapproving family and ran for the hills when Sheena's mom tried to plan their wedding. Tuesday, Neil dropped 33 pounds on
The Biggest Loser and the blue team continued to control the game, sending home red team member David. Wednesday, the CW network decided we need a 30 minute clip show of
America's Next Top Model (which we didn't). Thursday, Jaime got played, or so we were led to believe, on
Survivor: China. Here's a look back at this week's reality tv highlights.
Monday: The Bachelor
This week on The Bachelor, Brad got to visit four different hometowns to meet four different families. Uh, yes I AM dating your daughter as well as three other women while this is being filmed for television and in the end, I'll propose to one of them. Pass the salt. How awkward were these visits? Except for his time spent with DeAnna's family, I cringed through most of the episode, thanks mostly to Sheena's mother and Bettina's father. It made for a great episode to have Sheena's mom going on about astrology and wedding planning while Bettina's dad turned up his nose at Brad. I have been rooting for Jenni all season but maybe the distance will do them in. New frontrunner: DeAnna.
Tuesday: The Biggest Loser
Is there any stopping the blue team? It's unfortunate that they haven't played a very clean game, though I'll blame most of that on Neil, because I feel like Bob (their trainer) is such a stand up guy. Clearly, he's not condoning their behavior but I'm sure he wants this season's winner to be wearing a blue shirt. After Neil's water weight gain last week, he dropped 33 pounds on this week's episode. If someone doesn't get rid of him soon and he wins this thing, I will officially hate this show. At this point in the game, I'm pulling for Bill and most of the girls. There's no other way to say it: Neil's gotta go!
Wednesday: America's Next Top Model
Is there anything worse than a reality clip show? Look, we watch it all season because we're fans. We know the characters, we follow the storylines. We know who was eliminated when, who was in an alliance with whom, and who got into a fight over what. You don't have to replay it all back for us. A normal reality episode already regurgitates footage from a previous episode. And don't promise to show us never-before-seen footage because it's usually a big fat nothing. If you didn't start watching Top Model from the beginning this season, that clip show wasn't going to reel you in. Just give us new episodes throughout and we'll be happy!
Thursday: Survivor China
Alright, so this week on
Survivor, karma paid a little visit to Jaime and booted her out of China. She had been labeled a dirty player after not only throwing a challenge, but blatantly laughing about it while playing, while back at camp, and then at tribal council. In her interview with BuddyTV, she tried to play it off that she and Peih-Gee were laughing because James was swearing at them. She also said she knew about the false idol before she played it at tribal council. So is Jaime smarter than portrayed or covering for her less than stellar moments in the game? I guess we'll never know.
So there's your week in reality. Check back next week as we examine more best and worst moments. Is there anything we missed? Post your favorite reality moments here or let us know who you would just to see get eliminated!
