Anh-Tuan "Cao Boi" Bui was born on April 10, 1964 in Vietnam and was a Vietnam War refugee who later moved to the U.S. He studied at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He is very passionate about sports. In fact, he is the world-record holder in Marathon Softball where he played for 100 hours while serving in the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. He is currently prelate of the Loyal Moose Lodge #1470 in Christiansburg, Virginia, and a member of the 82nd Airborne Division Association, Boy Scouts of America and Cub Scouts of Vietnam. Prior to Survivor, he worked as a fisherman, photographer and a car salesman, and currently runs a nail salon with his wife.
Cao Boi participated in the popular reality show Survivor: Cook Islands (Season 13). Originally in the Puka Puka tribe, he claimed he was an outcast to the group. After the merge of tribes, he became a part of the Aitutaki tribe, where he was constantly seen as annoying by most of his tribe members. Although he trusted most of his tribemates to take out the Immunity Idol, he was deceived. Everyone except
Jessica voted him off. He was the 6th constestant eliminated.
