So, it seems that Jeff Probst felt the need to defend the latest edition of Survivor by calling a press conference against its detractors. The controversy has generated significant press coverage and uproar among academics, politicians, and minorities. Even advertisers have decided to sit on the sidelines to see how this Survivor season will play out. Undoubtedly, Survivor will rise above the last few seasons as ratings has steadily declined. It remains to be seen, however, if it will be good TV with great ratings for the entire season which is Jeff Probst, Mark Burnett, CBS are looking for. Jeff remarked, "I think when most people hear the idea, the first reaction is to flinch a little bit. It's a sensitive topic. I think if people give it a chance, they're going to be surprised by the results." Who wouldn't be surprised by the Survivor result, Jeff? I guess we'll have to wait and see if Survivor 14 will push the envelope again and pit the rich against the poor, wives against husbands, and the beautiful against the ugly. It never ends...
