A Couple of 'Survivor: China' Tidbits

We've got two months or so before the new season of Survivor premieres on CBS and, lately, there hasn't been much news to report.  Survivor: China has been one of the most buzzed about and anticipated seasons of Survivor in a long time, probably thanks to the exotic locale.  Now, thanks to SurvivorFever, we've got some juicy, albeit small, bits of information about the new season.  Don't give your hopes up: there's no word on whether Survivor 16 will be an All-Star season.  All this info is regarding the upcoming Survivor: China.

Survivor: China is being filmed in the Jinxi Province, on the Yangtze River.  The site is said to be near the city of Jiujiang.  Here's a picture of the production camp, thanks to SurvivorFever.

The location looks pretty cool to me.  It's one of those things you can't really put into words.  When I think of Chinese wilderness, that's what I see.  It's exotic and unlike any destination Survivor has ever been.  I love the non-traditional seasons, where they aren't just on a tropical beach. I loved Australia, Africa, and Guatemala.

Next, we have some info on the two tribes.  You can see the picture of the Zhan Hu banner up above.  It translates to “Fighting Tigers”.  The other tribe is named Fei Long, which translates to “Flying Dragons”.  As opposed to “Walking Dragons”.  The tribe names are cool enough, although I've never really put much stock in the tribe names.  What I do care about are the camp sites.  Wish we had a picture of those.

That's it.  That's the information we have on Survivor: China.  Of course, we also know that WWE wrestler and Playboy model Ashley Massaro is one of the contestants, which should provide some nice drama among the castaways.

What do you think?  How does that landscape look?  What about that tribe flag?
