The nominations were announced Monday for the 2013 Television Critics Association Awards, with cable shows yet again garnering most of the spots. The only categories where the networks came out on top were in outstanding comedy (by a slim margin) and reality TV. And non-TV programming is starting to get recognize more and more with Netflix's House of Cards.

Survivor is available on Amazon Prime.

The Americans and Breaking Bad lead with four and three nominations, respectively. They top not only the drama side, but the overall field. For comedy, New Girl, Veep and Parks and Recreation received two nods each.

For reality TV, it probably shouldn't come as a surprise at this point that The Voice received a nomination while American Idol was shut out. (The same thing happened with the Critics' Choice TV Awards in a comparable category.) The NBC singing competition is going up against The Amazing Race, The Glee Project, Shark Tank and Survivor.

One of the awards that will be handed out is the Heritage Award, which goes to a show that has "culturally or socially impacted society," according to a press release. All but one of the nominees is still on the air: Saturday Night Live. Other shows in this category include Lost, All in the Family and Star Trek.

It seems odd that The Daily Show and 60 Minutes could even be compared to each other, but yet the Jon Stewart-hosted comedy show is in the same category as the long-running CBS news program and Anderson Cooper 360.

The winners of the 2013 TCA Awards will be announced on August 3, during the Television Critics Association's summer press tour.
