Today the CW announced its plans for the fall, and the lineup includes plenty of returning shows, but many of them will air in new time slots. Eight of the network's 10 shows are returning to the schedule, with only two new dramas making the cut.  However, 90210, One Tree Hill, Life Unexpected and Supernatural are all getting new times on new nights.  The network also announced, as previously reported, that the upcoming tenth season of Smallville will be its last.

The CW is also investing heavily in its two new shows, the action drama Nikita and the cheerleading series Hellcats.  They're both scheduled to air after the CW's two most popular shows, The Vampire Diaries and America's Next Top Model.

Here's the complete fall schedule:

8pm: 90210
9pm: Gossip Girl

8pm: One Tree Hill
9pm: Life Unexpected

8pm: America's Next Top Model
9pm: Hellcats (NEW)

8pm: The Vampire Diaries
9pm: Nikita (NEW)

8pm: Smallville (final season)
9pm: Supernatural

Hellcats: A drama about a pre-law college student who loses her scholarship and is forced to join the cheerleading squad, starring Disney Channel stars Aly Michalka and High School Musical's Ashley Tisdale.
My First Thought: If this show can capture the same appeal as Bring It On, it could become a cult sensation.

Nikita: A remake of La Femme Nikita, this action series is about a female assassin who is betrayed by the government and goes out for vengeance.  It stars Maggie Q, Shane West and The O.C.'s Melinda Clarke.
My First Thought: If done right, this could follow in the footsteps of great female action dramas like Alias and Dark Angel, propelling Maggie Q  to superstardom.
