is bringing back quirky hunter Garth (D.J. Qualls) for the next new
episode, "Southern Comfort," but it's not all fun and games.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
Instead, the episode will touch on one issue that may have gone overlooked following the whole "Dean goes to Purgatory" ordeal: the death of Bobby Singer.
Garth is trying to take on the role Bobby played (even using the word "idjit"). But Dean isn't so amused. The problem is that, as Garth correctly points out, Bobby wasn't just Sam and Dean's friend. As we saw from his massive phone bank, Bobby helped hunters everywhere and his los wasn't just about Sam and Dean. In this clip, we see Garth get downright serious about the impact Bobby's death has had on him.
Not only is Garth calling Dean and idjit and helping with research, he's also trying to fill another role Bobby used to play: peacekeeper between the Winchester brothers. Obviously there's a huge falling out between Sam and Dean over that whole "Dean's new BFF is a vampire" bombshell Sam discovered at the end of the last episode.
Usually Bobby would step in, remind these boys that they're family, and get them to bury the hatchet. With Bobby's unique brand of counseling, Garth is clearly going to try to mend the fences.
Will Garth succeed? Is he going to step up and actually make a good Bobby 2.0? Find out when Supernatural
