Tonight on Supernatural
, all eyes are on Castiel as he tells his side of the story -- what caused his rift with Raphael and, more importantly, why is he secretly working with Crowley, the King of Hell. Hopefully "The Man Who Would Be King" will answer all of these burning questions. In the meantime, we asked our readers and Facebook followers how they feel about the unexpected alliance, and what they think will happen when Dean, who seems to be the only person who believes in Castiel, finds out about his dirty little secret. Here are some of the responses:
Castiel is struggling with his inner self to save Heaven and is working with a demon to kill the angel Raphael, which reminds me of when Sam in season 4 was struggling with his inner self and working with a demon to kill another demon.
Alyssa Nikole Wright:
I think Cas has good intentions (like Sam did with drinking the demon blood), but Crowley is slowly leading him off the path he needs to be on. Either that or Cas is manipulating Crowley into helping him somehow. Either way I hope Cas hasn't fallen.
: I think its horrible Cas is working for Crowley. I hate that demon. Dean is going to be so mad when he finds out that Cas is working for Crowley. Crowley refused to give Sam his soul back ... I still think Cas had something to do with Sam getting out of hell and Crowley of course took the credit for it. I don't want Cas to die. I want him back next season. But if they kill Crowley for good, then yeah, don't like him anyways.
I was gullible and accepted the events as they happened at face value. Stupid me. I did not see this coming at all. Probably because it is so upsetting to me. I personally love the relationship between Dean and Cas, and I'm sad that this will change. Dean will be devastated to feel betrayed by Cas. I am hoping that again everything is not as it seems and maybe it's not as bad as it looks.
[Dean] will demand some answers, that's for certain. And he will be hurt, as usual. But watching previews -- it seems that Cas is doubting. God helped him twice already, let's hope someone will this time as well. And not Dean by killing him!
He has to believe it's his only choice and it seems like there is something or someone that he and Crowley are fighting that is a common foe. So maybe that is some sort of justification. I don't know how he will justify keeping it all from Dean and Sam.
He might not be evil, it's just that he chose the lesser of two evils, in my opinion. Either he accepted Crowley's help in order to win the war, or be defeated by Rafael, which would mean a new apocalypse.
