There’s something new on the horizon for Supernatural. Kristin Dos Santos from E!Online has a huge spoiler that, if true, will change the show forever. It’s big, a little scary, and, if true, it’s sure to polarize the fans even more than the “Which Winchester is hotter?” debate.

According to Kristin, Sam and Dean aren’t the only children of John Winchester. That’s right, her sources claim that in the rest of the season, we’ll start to learn that there’s a third Winchester son.

As always, I would suggest taking this with a grain of salt. This could simply mean that we’ll be seeing a dream sequence or an alternate universe episode in which Dean and Sam have a brother.

But if it’s actually true, I’m going to hold off judgment until I see it. My immediate reaction is that this is a terrible idea, but Eric Kripke and his team have never steered us wrong, even if some fans didn’t entirely love Ruby and Bela.

Kristin says the role hasn’t been cast, but it will be interesting who they could possibly find to fit into this spectacular gene pool. Earlier this season the show introduced Mary Winchester and rewrote the family history, so this might be another situation like that.
