Supernatural: Episode 4.7 "It's the Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester" Recap (Page 2/4)

In another Halloween-related disaster, a teen bobbing for apples finds herself unable to pull her head out of the bucket of water.  Her friends try to help her, but the water soon starts boiling and melts her face off.  Those apples definitely aren't edible now, making for all sorts of wasted food in this episode.  Sam (Jared Padalecki) finds another hex bag at the scene, but again the victim seems to be boring and without enemies.  Sammy deduces that a witch is trying to raise Mr. Halloween himself, Samhain, by offering up three blood sacrifices over three days.  Two down, one to go.

Dean downs tons of candy while staking out the Wallace house, and eventually discovers that the cute, young babysitter may be the ancient witch.  The girl, Tracy, got suspended from school after a violent altercation with one of her teachers, so the boys see the man to get the details.  He explains that he simply tried to talk to Tracy about the bizarre, cryptic symbols and demented drawings she'd often scribble in her notebook, and then she blew up at him.  He advises the brothers to chat with the girl at her apartment.

After a run-in with a chubby astronaut trick-or-treater, Sam and Dean walk into their motel room and find Castiel waiting.  Sam introduces himself, Castiel introduces his fellow angel Uriel, and soon reveals that he found a hex bag in the motel room.  The raising of Samhain will break one of the 66 seals, so it's extremely important that they stop the witch from doing her thing.  The Winchesters may not be able to kill the ancient hag, so Cas and Uriel plan to smite the entire town.  Talk about throwing the baby out with the bathwater.  Uriel has plenty of experience "purifying" cities, so wiping a thousand people off the earth is no big deal for him.  After all, it's small potatoes compared to Lucifer rising.
