Jack arrives home to find his wife tied up, and he's soon overpowered by Travis the crazed hunter. Travis has discovered that the the wife is pregnant, which means another Rugaru will be popping up 30 years down the line. He's going to have to burn the whole place to the ground to prevent that from happening. While Travis pours gasoline, Jack uses his Hulk-like strength to bust out of his ropes and break the man's arm. He then completes his metamorphosis by taking a few giant bites out of Travis's neck, which causes his wife to flee in terror.
Sam and Dean show up at Jack's place to confront mean Mr. Rugaru, but the demon starts kicking their asses shortly after they walk in the door. I guess the plan of sitting him down for a nice chat is out the window. While Sam is locked in the closet, he tries to reason with Jack before the creature kills Dean. The Rugaru naturally blames the brothers for the entire mess, but Sam tries to explain that it's not what Jack is that matters, but what he does. Sammy's advice may be helpful, but it doesn't stop the monster from trying to attack him the instant he bursts out of the closet. Sam is forced to light him ablaze to stop the insanity. Poor Jack.
Now that everyone is dead aside from the Rugaru-carrying wife, Sam and Dean drive out of town. Dean wants to chat more about his brother's dark side, but Sammy is tired of trying to explain himself. The demon blood is something he's going to have to deal with on his own. He knows that he's playing with fire everytime he uses his powers, so he vows to never use them again. He's not stopping for his brother, the angels or God, but simply for his own good. Does he really mean it this time, or is he bound to stumble down the same road Jack did?
