After Sam gets a call, the duo head to Missouri to find a man named Jack Montgomery.  Jack is a normal family man who simply can't get enough of the dinner his wife has prepared for him.  He finishes his plate, steals her steak, and later feels some horrible pain in the bathroom as his spine nearly jumps out of his back.  Jack just may be mutating into a very nasty steak-eating creature.

Dean (Jensen Ackles) fills Sam in on his time traveling adventures while they drive to Jack's place.  Sam is pissed that half his family had to be murdered just for Yellow Eyes to bleed into his mouth one night.  Dean had no idea that Sam already knew about the demon blood, which is just one more secret his brother has been keeping from him.  The brothers stake out Jack's house, and soon see him go into the kitchen and start binging on fried chicken and bloody raw meat.  Watching a man scarf down raw beef makes me feel slightly ill, but I'll try not to hurl on my keyboard before this recap is over.

The boys go visit an old family friend named Travis, who called them about Jack's eating habits.  He explains that the man is turning into a Rugaru, which is an insatiable flesh-eating creature.  All it takes is one bite of tasty human meat and Jack will transform into one very nasty looking monster.  After feeling tempted to munch on his wife's sliced finger, Jack heads to a local bar to down peanuts and booze instead.  He sees a schlub hitting on a lady at the bar, calls the guy a "fat sweaty dick," then breaks the man's wrist like he's Jeff Goldblum in The Fly.
