Supernatural: Episode 4.2 "Are You There God? It's Me, Dean Winchester" Recap (Page 3/4)
While Dean grapples with a very bitter Meg, Sam rescues Bobby from the two children he failed to save in his past. The gang compare notes afterwards, which is when Dean mentions that Meg had a strange mark on her hand. No one will be safe from the ghosts in Bobby's house, so the three musketeers hide in Bobby's spook-proof panic room to make more salt pellets and chat about God. Dean wants to know why God doesn't intervene and help to save innocent people if He truly exists. Good question.
Bobby discovers that the symbol on Meg's hand is called The Mark of the Witness. The people died unnatural deaths and were then forced to rise as ghosts by some shady character, which is apparently a very agonizing experience. It also leaves a mark. As if that's not creepy enough, the book of Revelations says that the rising of the witnesses is a sign of the apocalypse. Dean wants to go on a road trip now that the world is coming to an end, but Bobby would rather cook up a spell to get rid of the ghosts.
After leaving the panic room, Dean (
Jensen Ackles) runs into the ghost of Ronald from season 2's "Nightshifter." He gets all up in Dean's face about how he failed to save him, but Bobby quickly shotguns him out of the way. As Bobby prepares to do the spell he finds himself distracted by the
Shining girls, who keep reminding him that he let a monster rip them apart. Meanwhile, Meg pesters Sam about how he killed her but has no problems working alongside a demon like Ruby. Guilt Trip Meg is starting to make me miss Evil Demon Meg. At least she was more fun.
