Supernatural: Episode 4.2 "Are You There God? It's Me, Dean Winchester" Recap (Page 2/4)

Sam (Jared Padalecki) sees Ruby while he's out for his pie run, and her newly acquired lisp asks if it's true that an angel has come to town.  He confirms the rumor, which sends Ruby running for the hills as fast as possible.  Angels aren't too fond of demons, and she'd rather not be sent back to Hell.  Unfortunately for Dean, Sam's chat with Ruby made him forget all about the pie.  That boy needs to get his priorities in order. Less chit chat with demons, more fruit-filled sugary goodness.

Bobby takes the boys to go check on Olivia, who he hasn't been able to get in touch with for a few days.  She's dead, and the other hunters in the area have also been killed.  Just as the boys figure out that ghosts are murdering hunters, Sam has a run in with Agent Henricksen in a gas station bathroom.  You may recall that Lilith blew him to smithereens at the end of "Jus in Bello."  Henricksen lays a guilt trip on Sammy, blaming him for Lilith's attack and claiming that he left everyone at the police station to die.  The ghostly Henricksen then kicks Sam's ass a bit before Dean blows him away with a salt pellet.

Bobby is also being haunted by the ghosts of Christmas past.  After hearing the laughter of little children in his house, two girls who look like the twins from The Shining appear before him.  Creepy.  Sam and Dean rush to get to his place, but by the time they arrive he's nowhere to be found.  Sam goes outside to look in the salvage yard, but he doesn't notice that Bobby is being held captive in one of the junked cars.

Hey guys, remember Meg?  Of course you do.  Her spirit is back to haunt Dean, and it's quite amazing how different Nicky Aycox looks with longer hair.  Just in case the audience doesn't recognize her or missed season 1, there are some handy flashbacks to remind us who she is.  Meg appears as the nice, innocent girl she was before she was possessed, but she's not here to talk about Bratz dolls and offer to dye Dean's hair.  She's here to lay a massive guilt trip on him.  She goes on and on about how he didn't help her, how he threw her out a window, and how her sister killed herself after she died.  It's not like Dean could have known she was an innocent girl possessed by a demon, but whatever.  Ghost Meg is crazy and irrational, which is probably why she starts kicking the crap out of Dean.  He eventually gets rid of her by dropping an iron chandelier on her ghostly head.
