Dean meets up with Nick to track down the coroner, and in the car the two share a sip from the same flask. However, Nick reveals that perhaps the Siren’s drug is exchanged through saliva, and we see that Nick Monroe is the Siren! That’s a great twist, and Nick explains that he’s a much better younger brother, so Dean should get rid of Sam.

Sam walks back into the hotel room where Nick is waiting and Dean comes up behind his brother and holds a knife to Sam’s throat. It’s kind of insane that a Siren, who can take whatever shape a man most desires, would look like a younger brother for Dean instead of a stripper. While he’s held, Nick shoots his venom into Sam infecting him as well, allowing Nick to make them fight to the death.

Dean thinks Sam is keeping secrets like his phone calls to Ruby and that he can’t be trusted because the Sam he used to know is gone. Sam, however, thinks Dean is too weak and that he can’t handle the fact that they have to kill Lilith. He says that he’s a stronger, smarter and better hunter and that Dean is holding him back.

Then they fight. It’s an all-out brawl, with Sam throwing Dean against a wall and pounding his face in. Then Dean drives Sam through a door and while Sam is on the floor, Dean picks up a fire axe and Nick demands that he kill Sam.

Instead, at that moment, Uncle Bobby arrives, stabs Dean with a bronze dagger to get his blood, then throws it at Nick to kill the Siren. Uncle Bobby really does kick so much ass.

The next morning, Uncle Bobby gives the boys some soda and some advice that Sirens are tricky and they shouldn’t blame themselves for falling victim to Nick’s coercion. The boys say that they’re fine and they get into the Impala to drive away.

They’re sooooooo not fine.
