And now it’s time for what I can only assume writer Sera Gamble meant when she said this episode had the squickiest moment ever. Wall Girl finds Son, her hostage, and brings him a live rat. Then she rips the rat in half and begins eating it. Jeremy Carver is one sick and twisted dude to even come up with something that gross.
Dean knocks out a wall and goes down a hole to find Son. He finds the kid, but is warned by that “He’s coming back.” Before Dean can wrap his head around it, Wall Girl’s equally disturbed brother pops out and attacks him. They struggle, but Dean gets his hand on a gun and shoots the guy. I realize these freaks are crazy, but Dean just killed a human being. This is some heavy stuff.
Outside, Wall Girl is breaking into the shed, but is finally stopped by Dad, who stabs her to death to protect his wife and daughter. The next day, Sam and Dean leave the family to deal with the terrible night they had.
Dean, on the other hand, reflects on the similarities between him and two psychos who were locked away and tortured until they eventually became monsters. The reason Dean relates is because in Hell, he reveals that he actually enjoyed torturing the souls. Wow, that was unexpected and a little uncomfortable.
Next week on
Supernatural: “Criss Angel is a Douche Bag.” I’m pretty sure I could say that episode title all day long and never get bored.
