As we reported earlier, the rumor is that Amanda Peet has not tested well with audiences and may be fired from Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.
This is ludicrous. Amanda Peet isn't going anywhere and nor should she. Even with the Studio 60 pilot floating along out there on the internets, any backlash from the "blogosphere" is both predictable and inconsequential. Creator Aaron Sorkin has the clout to run Studio 60 as he pleases and these are his characters. He won't get rid of them to appease a test audience. Amanda Peet is a good actress and her role as NBS President Jordan McDeere is dynamic and interesting, like all Sorkin characters. I've seen the pilot and I loved the Jordan character. If there were to be backlash, I assumed it'd be over the acting of Sarah Paulson, whose performance, while not bad, is different (and with a lisp!). Hell, no one's even seen the second episode. Amanda Peet will be on Studio 60 for the foreseeable future, bloggers and pregnancy be damned. -Oscar Dahl
