If there is one truth to life, it''s that there is an award show for everybody. Thus, we have the Teen Choice Awards, a competition whose winners are chosen solely by voters between the ages of 13 and 19. What will this year's teens be honoring? Keep reading for the first round of 2012 Teen Choice Award nominees.

The Teen Choice Awards ceremony will air on FOX on Sunday, July 22 at 8pm. Until then, fans falling in the appropriate age range of 13 to 19 can vote online at
www.teenchoiceawards.com.
So what pieces of entertainment have the best chance at winning the teen vote? The top nominee for 2012 is
The Vampire Diaries, which managed to earn six nominations. That show is closely followed by
American Idol and Justin Bieber (not a TV show... yet), both with five nominations.
