Biography

Mido Hamada is a German-Egyptian actor who has taken on roles in theater, television and film. A resident of London, England, he trained at the Oxford School of Drama and later on appeared in a number of TV productions. Among these are Spooks, The English Harem, The Path to 9/11, Judge John Deed, and 2057. Mido Hamada has also appeared in the critically acclaimed sci-fi adventure film Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow alongside Jude Law and Angelina Jolie, the movie Hannibal, and the upcoming film The Situation, wherein he plays an Iraqi photographer named Zaid.

Dr. Taj Kalid is portrayed by Mido Hamada in Lifetime’s new television series State of Mind . A psychopharmacologist with a slight superiority complex, he works at the New Haven Psychiatric Associates with far more interest in cures than in conversing with others, hinting at a poor bedside manner. He is also something of a chauvinistic traditionalist – he believes both in the strength of marriages and the ‘necessity’ of having a mistress.
