Lili Taylor is an Emmy-nominated television and film actress born on February 20, 1967 in Glencoe, Illinois. The daughter of a hardware store owner, she describes herself as having grown up a tomboy in a warm family environment. She attended the Theatre School of Drama at DePaul University as well as the Piven Theater Workshop, before going on to appear in numerous movies and television series. Among the films she’s appeared in are Born on the Fourth of July, The Haunting, Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle, I Shot Andy Warhol, and High Fidelity. She’s also worked on TV shows such as The X-Files, Mad About You, and Six Feet Under.
Dr. Ann Bellowes is portrayed by Lili Taylor in Lifetime’s new television series State of Mind. She is a brilliant psychiatrist, yet finds her life turned upside down when she catches her husband and fellow psychiatrist Phil cheating on her with their very own couples counselor. Her personal life starts to fall apart at this point, and Ann starts feeling that she needs all the help she can get, yet her colleagues are both sympathetic and troublesome at the same time.
