Torri Higginson exudes elegance and sophistication in whatever endeavor she partakes. Who would have thought that this heavenly beauty could suitably fit sci-fi character roles? Initially a guest star on Stargate SG-1, she consistently wins the crowd with her enthralling acting expertise, evident in her inclusion on the series Stargate Atlantis. She is more than just a pretty face as she is talented and ingeniously smart. Her graceful on screen presence is certainly pleasing to the public eye.

Born on December 6, 1969 in Ontario, Canada, Torri Higginson previously worked in theater productions of Three Tall Women, Weldon Rising and Picasso at the Lapin Agile. Apart from the film The English Patient, for which she was best known for, she also appeared on movies like Save My Soul, Irish Eyes, Bliss, Autopsy Room Four, Storm of the Century, The City, The Photographer’s Wife, and Turning Paige among others.

Playing Elizabeth Weir on Stargate Atlantis gives Higginson the opportunity to establish her stance on the television loop. She depicts a commander of the Stargate Atlantis team who is highly clever and decisive. Her inclusion on the sci-fi series greatly enhances the show’s plot and gives the program a refreshing element fans look forward to watch.
