Ron Livingston is an actor credible whether as a protagonist or as an enemy. Although he has a meek and angelic façade, he can easily portray vicious and challenging character roles. Undeniably handsome and alluring, he wins spectators with his captivating smile. At present, he stars as one of the lead characters on the series Standoff.

Born on June 5, 1968 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Ron Livingston attended Marion High School and graduated from Yale University where he acquired his degree in Theater and English. Upon relocating to Chicago, he became greatly involved in theater, and eventually worked his way to film. His movie credits included Office Space, Swingers, Some Folks Call it a Sling Blade, The Low Life, Pretty Persuasion and Little Black Book. He also appeared on television series like Band of Brothers, Sex and the City, House and The Practice.

On the series Standoff, Livingston plays Matt Flannery. He depicts a senior FBI negotiator who is also the partner and love interest of Emily Lehman. His effort to keep their relationship underground is an enthralling aspect of the show, which instantly grabs the attention of fans. Apart from his intriguing love affair, his witty approaches and bargaining expertise makes the show worth watching. His inclusion on the program also gives him the opportunity to widen his credentials and prolong his exposure on television.
