The Pandemic Continues on 'South Park'

That was a cliffhanger if there ever was one on the last episode of South Park.  It started with an innocent enough venture by the boys to get a share of the Peruvian flute band pie that had taken over their mall (plus the other major cities in the world, as will be revealed later).  They sought the help of Craig for capital, dressed up, and bought instruments, and true enough, they were making sale after sale just because they looked “cultural.”  As absurd as it was, Homeland Security found the disturbance too annoying so they racked all the Peruvian flute bands on some Florida jail, including the South Park boys, and planned on attacking the country itself – a parody perhaps of US foreign policy.

Little did they know that hauling all the bands would inexplicably lead to an even bigger catastrophe – a bunch of guinea pigs wreaking havoc on their cities.  Just what exactly links the Peruvian flute bands and the rodents?  That’s what part two of this two-part South Park episode should shed light on.  It was also hinted that Craig will have a big role on the entire mystery.

After being discovered to be “hybrids,” the boys were sent to Peru to infiltrate the source of the bands.  On “Pandemic 2 – The Startling,” the boys are lost in the Andes Mountains where they will find out just what caused the guinea pigs to go berserk and attack the cities.  As the city falls to the rodents (while Randy documents everything), it’s up to the boys to rescue their town and save the world.  However, towards the end of last episode, it was revealed that the head of Homeland Security is not who everyone thought he is and will surely be on the kids’ way.
