Fans of
South Park, especially those of
Eric Cartman, that sexist, racist, anti-Semitic but weirdly oh-so-lovable “fat kid” of the group, are in for a real treat as South Park: The Cult of Cartman comes out in DVD on Tuesday, October 7, a day before the show runs new episodes on Wednesday at 10pm on Comedy Central.
South Park: The Cult of Cartman is more than just double-disc set DVD, it is packaged like a cult handbook, including 12 precious “life lessons” from the man himself, Eric Theodore Cartman. It includes 12 uncensored episodes (where the teachings are embedded), an exclusive membership card to the Eric Theodore Cartman Society, and a sticker.
For starters, the official website gave us sneak peaks on three of the twelve life lessons. Lesson three goes “What awaits us all in heaven is eternal bliss, divine rest, and $10,000 in cash. And remember, we all die in 2012.” Lesson five goes “
Family Guy sucks my balls. Here endeth the lesson.” The last and “most important” lesson, meanwhile, goes “Do not trust the Jews. Oh, and kids with red hair and freckles have no souls. Oh, and we all die in 2012.”
As with any
South Park episode, the lessons poke fun at some pop culture references, including Fox's animated series
Family Guy, often criticized for being an alleged
Simpsons rip-off, and the year 2012 is in reference to a common prophecy about the world ending in the said year (December 12, 2012 to be exact).
All episodes are Cartman-centric, including three brand new ones: "Tonsil Trouble," "Eek A P****!" and "Super Fun Time."
If you want to try your luck, you can also go
here if you want to enter The Cult of Cartman Trivia Contest for a chance to win $10,000.
