Glee, prepare to get invaded by Gemma Teller. Thursday night Ryan Murphy tweeted that the FOX musical comedy has cast Sons of Anarchy star Katey Sagal as the mother of original New Directions member Artie Abrams.

Give Me My Remote is additionally reporting that she will appear in the second-to-last episode of season 4 entitled "Wonder-ful," a tribute episode to Stevie Wonder. Since Artie's mom is showing up, it's possible that this could be the graduation episode.

Very little is known about Artie's parents. In season 1 it was revealed that he's in his wheelchair because he was in a car accident when he was 8-years-old and his mother was driving the car, though she was fine. She was mentioned again in season 4's Christmas episode when she was coming to pick him up from school after he slipped on the ice and had his It's a Wonderful Life dream where he could walk.

At Comic-Con last year, Kevin McHale actually mentioned that Sagal would be his dream choice to play his mom (with Harry Connick, Jr. as his dad). And also at the panel, Glee co-creator pitched the idea that Artie's mom is a hoarder.

Sagal is known for her Golden Globe-winning performance as biker mom Gemma Teller on FX's Sons of Anarchy, though she will forever be remembered as Peg Bundy on FOX's very first comedy, Married...with Children. This casting marks her return to the network that made her a star. She is also the voice of Leela on Futurama and has had memorable recurring roles on Lost and Boston Legal, among many others.

Sagal joins an impressive list of actors who have played parents of the various members of New Directions, which includes Jeff Goldblum and Brian Stokes Mitchell as Rachel's dads, Gloria Estefan as Santana's mom, John Schneider as Sam's dad and Aisha Tyler as Jake's mom.

Will Sagal be a bad-ass mother like on Sons of Anarchy, or a leopard print-loving bon-bon eater like on Married...with Children? Or, God forbid, will she be like the mom she played on Boston Legal, where she made out with her own son. And what about Artie's dad? Ed O'Neill seems out of the question since he's on Modern Family, but how about her Lost boyfriend Terry O'Quinn? Or, in a perfect Married...with Children reunion, Ted McGinley.

Now the question is: What other seniors' parents will show up? We know virtually nothing about Tina, Brittany and Blaine's parents.

Glee airs Thursdays at 9pm on FOX.
