What can you say about the ladies on
So You Think You Can Dance this season? They've been awesome. Just the fact that ridiculously talented girls like
Shauna Noland,
Anya Garnis and
Jessi Peralta didn't make the top ten is incredible. The remaining five ladies are a force to be reckoned with. It's exceedingly difficult separating them from each other, even this late in the season. A small semblance of a pecking order has been established, but is constantly in flux. For now, this is how I rank them.

Jaimie Goodwin
This was a tough one for me. Jaimie has been good all season, and the judges absolutely love her technical ability. However, I feel like she has a similar problem to Danny: she doesn't connect with the audience as well as she should. This is an issue, especially as each dancer receives new partners. It may have been that Jaimie had given all of her energy to carrying the inferior Hok during the couples dances, but the two of them seemed to have chemistry off the stage that didn't translate to the stage. What's going to happen, then, when she partners with someone new?
#4 - Lauren Gottleib
I don't think we've seen the best of Lauren just yet. She's been great the past two weeks, and has steadily improved throughout the season. This makes sense because Lauren is only eighteen, yet is very gifted. She has potential to give us some incredible performances over the next few weeks and I wouldn't be surprised if she made it to the final three or four dancers. But, taking the whole season into account, it was impossible to place her in front of the top three.

Sabra Johnson
Sabra and partner Dominic have been the best couple this season on So You Think You Can Dance. Sabra has been great thus far, a natural, but it's hard to know whether this was a product of her and Dominic's incredible chemistry, or if it was a true indication of where she is as a dancer. You'd like to give Sabra the benefit of the doubt here, but skepticism lingers. I like Sabra a lot, but she doesn't seem as dynamic as some of the other females. She could end up winning it all, or she could go home Thursday. The jury is still out.
#2 - Sara Von Gilern
Sara might be my favorite dancer in the competition. She has shown an incredible range of abilities with her knack for kicking ass in styles of dance totally foreign to her. The quickness in which she has picked up these new genres is astonishing. Last week's crazy, retro “Body Motion” routine was one of my favorites of the season, and I look forward to every one of her performances. Depending on who she receives as a partner, I see Sara surprising everyone and making it far in the competition.

Lacey Schwimmer
Let's not overreact to that little hiccup last week. Lacey still feels like the overall favorite in the competition and I suspect the judges would agree. Does America agree, though? Well, if voters liked her brother enough to crown him champion, why wouldn't they do the same to Lacey. She's more skilled, according to the judges, and she's both likable and accessible, not to mention an incredible dancer. Still the favorite to win it all.
