How in the world are we supposed to decide who goes home tonight on So You Think You Can Dance? It seems pretty clear that Josh and Katee will go straight to the finale without ever having had to worry about dancing for their lives this season. I’m not sure that’s ever happened to a couple in the history of the show. It’s pretty impressive, to say the least. When it comes to Courtney, Chelsie, Twitch, and Mark, though, I thought they performed pretty equally last night. Let’s take a look back at how these 4 dancers have performed this season to try to figure out which 2 will be leaving us tonight and which 2 will move on to next week’s finale.

Twitch Boss vs. Mark Kanemura

It seems, to many, that Mark would be the easy choice to go home this week. On last week’s elimination episode, when he was safe, even he was shocked. He screamed “What?” and looked like he couldn’t believe it. Neither could we. It seems that we’ve underestimated Mark’s fan base. Twitch has landed in the bottom twice, while Mark has only landed there once. Both have had memorable solos and routines. My favorite of Mark’s were his hip hop routine with Chelsie and last night’s jazz routine with Courtney. I loved Twitch’s contemporary routine last week with Katee as well as his contemporary routine with Kherington a few weeks back. This one seems too close to call but with Twitch landing in the bottom twice, he may just make it to the finale.


Courtney Galiano vs. Chelsie Hightower

Unfortunately for Courtney, the race between her and Chelsie has not been a close one. Chelsie, like Katee and Josh, has never landed in the bottom this season. Courtney has landed there twice. The problem with Courtney is that, when you stack her up against Katee, she loses big time. As I’ve said, Katee has had better partners and better routines consistently this season. The judges also push for Katee about a hundred times harder than for Courtney. Chelsie has sailed through and done very well in just about any style of dance. I personally want Courtney to be there but I think her uphill battle is about to come to an end on the So You Think You Can Dance stage tonight.
