The first of the videos, "Still Rolling," takes a look at the So You Think You Can Dance season 9 Top 10 dancers.



The video begins with Nigel consoling George (not a shock that Nigel thinks George is an incredibly good dancer -- that's been obvious all season) while Mary talks to Audrey about that casket. Mary Murphy really has an issue with caskets.

The whole thing is kind of surreal actually, since only Mary Murphy and Nigel Lythgoe seem to have working microphones. So we can hear them, even when the cameras focus on the rest of the dancers milling in a crowd. The dancers in the crowd are obviously speaking as well, but only Mary and Nigel's voices can be heard.

This is probably some sort of meta-commentary on the entirety of So You Think You Can Dance. If my brain worked better or if I were more bored, I would discuss it. Feel free to do so yourselves in the comments.

Nigel also has a few witty comments about the Bollywood dance at the end. They involve curry.


The second video is a promo advertising the So You Think You Can Dance Top 8 episode airing later this week. The footage is, of course, from last week. But that's what you get when the show is taped live. It makes spoilers tricky if nothing else.



At least they did a good job in showing only those dancers who actually made it to the Top 8. It would be sort of awkward if they showed eliminated contestants in this.

The So You Think You Can Dance Top 8 episode will air on Wednesday, August 29 at 8pm on FOX. Who will be the next to go?
