Depending upon who America placed in the bottom three this week, the eliminations are going to be extremely difficult tonight on So You Think You Can Dance
. For the guys, the decision is a little easier, because its clearly between Hok and Cedric. One of those two will almost surely go home. For the girls, it's not so simple. I have no idea who should be eliminated. They're all really, really good dancers. I do not envy the judges. Oh, and also, Hillary Duff will also be performing live. So, you know, have fun with that. I'll be here giving live updates throughout the show.
The dancers come out dancing a routine set to a song from Hairspray. The routine was choreographed by Adam Shankman, the guest judge this week. It's like the commercials for the movie. Doo-wop on speed. The ladies look good in their skirts.
Shankman is showing a little man cleavage tonight, as well as wearing a dog tag, in case you were wondering.
We get a behind-the-scenes look at Shankman teaching the dancers the opening routine. He likes to swear and he's a ball of energy. A crazy person, really.
Results time already.
Sabra and Dominic: Safe.
Anya and Danny: In the bottom three.
Lacey and Kameron: Safe.
Sara and Pasha: Man, they better not be in the bottom three. Their performance last night was pretty awesome. They are safe. Hooray!
Shauna and Cedric: In the bottom three. Goodbye, Cedric.
Hok and Jaimie: You have to think these two are in the bottom three. And they are.
Lauren and Neil: Safe, and deservedly so.
The solo routines will be coming up after the break. But first, some FOX cross-promotion!!!! Shankman took the dancers to the Hollywood premiere of Hairspray
Time for the solo routines. Anya is up first and writhes around in a skin tight leopard print costume. Ummmmm...she has my vote. Sexy.
Danny comes out shirtless and he spins around a lot. The crowd likes it.
Shauna dances to a Cranberries
song and kicks some ass. She deserves to stay.
Cedric comes out and does his crazy freestyle/plastic man thing. It's awesome, but I don't think it'll save him this time. The judges reluctantly head back stage.
Hillary Duff comes on stage very scantily-clad, wearing Amy Winehouse's Cleopatra eye-liner. Oh, and she's lip-synching. Yea, corporate pop music!!!
The final results are coming up after the last commercial break.
This is it. The judges are unanimous on both decisions. Jaimie is safe. A bit of a surprise. So is Anya.
That means that Shauna is going home. The judge's reason is that Shauna's personality and growth haven't been up to snuff. But, Nigel sends her a bunch of kind words.
Cedric is going home. As it should be. That means no new partners next week...unless they shake up everything and give all the dancers new partners.
And that's the show. We'll be back tomorrow with interviews with both Cedric and Shauna.
