'So You Think You Can Dance' Predictions: Which Top 10 Dancers Are Safe?

The performances from the So You Think You Can Dance top 12 were absolutely amazing. Once again, we had to say farewell to two more dancers. The bottom six dancers were Jenna Johnson, Alan Bersten, Malece Miller, Nico Greetham, Amy Yakima and Tucker Knox. Tucker had an infection in his knee and couldn't perform. The judges saved Jenna Johnson and Nico Greetham. And in the end, they cut Malece Miller and Alan Bersten from the competition.

It is never an easy task, but let's try and predict which of our So You Think You Can Dance favorites will be safe to dance another day.

The Best of the Night

My favorite routine of the night was Hayley Erbert and Nico Greetham's Broadway gypsy fortune teller routine choreographed by Sean Cheesman. Fun? Check. Athletic? Yes. There was a lift when Nico rolled Hayley over his back by one leg. It had excellent technique, charisma and was entertaining. Enough said!

Jenna Johnson and All-Star Alex Wong, who filled in for Tucker, danced a dramatic Paso Doble choreographed by Jean-Marc Genereux. Yes, it had a pirate theme, and who doesn't love a good pirate? Besides that, it had great connection between Jenna and Alex and excellent technique. Guest judge Kenny Ortega even told Jenna that she was one of his favorite dancers, and I could see why in this routine.

Mandy Moore choreographed an emotional contemporary piece for Makenzie Dustman and Paul Karmiryan. It was beautiful and seemed almost effortless. This dynamic duo received a standing ovation from all three judges.

Who Is In Danger?

This is a really tough call. I found almost all of the routines entertaining, and nearly all of the performances were top-notch.  I think that Amy Yakima and DuShaunt "Fik-Shun" Stegall's Viennese Waltz was emotional and elegant. It was a tribute to their dancing partnership since next week the duos are being split apart when the All-Stars hit the stage. Mary Murphy thought there were some technical problems, but that both Amy and Fik-Shun performed well. They just didn't dance as well as they usually do.

Jasmine Harper and Aaron Turner performed a NappyTabs Hip-Hop routine that dazzled all three judges. It was fun and entertaining, and I enjoyed that aspect of it. I did feel that both last week and this week the connection between Jasmine and Aaron seemed off. I don't know if it is their chemistry, but they have had great chemistry in the past. I found myself really wanting to love it, but I just didn't. I think I am in the minority on that point.

Who Should Worry?

She has been in the bottom six several times, and even though she performed well on Tuesday night, I think that there is a good chance Jenna Johnson will be cut from So You Think You Can Dance next week. There seems to be a lack of connection with the viewers at home. As for the guys? I think that Tucker's inability to perform, which will automatically put him in danger next week, could signal the end of his journey.

I am looking forward to seeing the top 10 dancers dance with the All-Stars next week. It is bittersweet because that also means that our favorite duos are splitting up.
