So You Think You Can Dance: Neil Haskell Featured in The Nutcracker
Never mind that 20-year old Neil Haskell didn't bag this season's So You Think You Can Dance crown.  Arguably this batch's resident heartthrob, Haskell did make it to the final four and has since been kept busy with So You Think You Can Dance's tour, aside from his other personal gigs.

Kansas City's Camp caught up with him earlier this month and found out what else the charismatic dancer from New York has on his plate.

In late September, the top 10 finalists of So You Think You Can Dance's third season hit the road for an arduous 40-city tour across the nation.  The touring show is expected to last until later this month.  Among those on the road is Neil Haskell, who seems to have captured the hearts of numerous fans, judging by the deafening screams he got from the crowd during So You Think You Can Dance's run.

Aside from being part of the show's tour, Camp has learned that Haskell has just signed on with the American Academy of Ballet for their staging of the classic Nutcracker.

“Yes, I just got that going,” Haskell told Camp.  “It's in New York at my old ballet school [University at Buffalo's Center for the Arts] so they just called and asked me if I wanted to be in it, and I said, ‘Of course.'”

Haskell spoke about dancing night after night on the tour.

“It's actually not tough because you have a different crowd every night and a different excitement level every night,” he stated.  “Most of the stuff is the same, but then we have many different new ones as well.”

Finally, when asked about his plans following So You Think You Can Dance's roadshow presentation, Haskell declined to give any details for fear of preempting them.

“There are some things in the works, but I don't want to talk about it because I don't want to jinx it,” Haskell declared.
