I’d like to say that I was excited that the top 12 from last season’s
So You Think You Can Dance showed up on tonight’s finale of
American Idol. However, I could barely see them as the camera kept jumping back to the stars of tonight’s episode, the Idol top 12. I caught a glimpse of Dominic and Hok breakdancing but the rest were a blur. With season 4 of
So You Think You Can Dance premiering tomorrow night, it’s no surprise that fans are curious about updates from season 3 dancers. BuddyTV gave a few updates earlier in the week but is happy to be back with even more juicy details about what the dancers have been up to!
As we reported,
Lacey Schwimmer is currently working on an Adam Sandler project. BuddyTV has learned that the project is a movie called
Bedtime Stories. The movie is about a hotel handyman whose life changes when the bedtimes stories he tells his niece and nephew actually come to life. The movie also stars Keri Russell, Guy Pearce, and Courtney Cox. The movie is directed by Adam Shenkman, who was a guest judge on
So You Think You Can Dance as well as directed last year’s smash hit, Hairpsray. Lacey also dished on her so-called romance with
Idol’s David Cook, saying in an interview, “In my book, it wasn't dating. We hung out a few times and we're really good friends, we're just both so busy now."
Lauren Gottlieb, who is currently touring with Mariah Carey, revealed that a scheduled concert in Dubai that she was rehearsing for had recently been cancelled. When asked about Carey’s personal life, Gottlieb only said, “I think she's just enjoying being married right now."
Sarah VonGillern is also on tour and is out on the road with Avril Lavigne. When asked about her new short, streaked hairdo, Sarah said, "Actually, it's a rule we all have to have dark hair, there can only be one blonde on the stage.” She hesitated before saying that she was enjoying working with Avril but we’ll give her credit for not bashing the pop/punk princess to the press!
Mary Murphy and Nigel Lythgoe dished on the new season, letting us know which dancers we should keep our eye on. “There is a guy called Twitch who is very good and Phillip Habib is one of the most sensational ripplers and poppers I've ever seen,” said Lythgoe. Season 4 of
So You Think You Can Dance premieres tomorrow night with a special 2 hour episode at 8pm ET.
