It's going to be a sad night on So You Think You Can Dance with the news of Michael Jackson's death breaking just hours before the results show.

We all know that the news will hit Jason especially hard, who credits Michael Jackson for inspiring him to dance. But it seems resident So You Think  You Can Dance screamer, Mary Murphy is also heart broken by the news. 


Mary just took to her Twitter from backstage to comment on Jackson's sudden passing:

"Michael Jackson just passed away. I am so sad and crying in my dressing room, this will be a hard show to get through tonight ."

Expect tissues and black tonight on So You Think  You Can Dance. I wouldn't be surprised if next week's group number would be a tribute to Michael and his moves, but that's purely speculation and we'll have to wait and see.

We'll update this post if any of the other judges comment on MJ's passing.

While the music community and fans of Michael Jackson's will be mourning the loss, so will the dance community.  Because not only was Michael Jackson the King of Pop, he was an amazing, innovative dancer who inspired millions to Moonwalk and more.
