This is an exciting week, dance fans! Not only are the top 10 dancers taking the So You Think You Can Dance
stage, but they have some amazing company. The All-Stars are back, baby! I think of the All-Stars' return like a school reunion, if all your friends were athletic, talented, and not too hard on the eyes.
Sadly, we lost four So You Think You Can Dance
competitors last time: Carly Blaney, Emily James, Serge Onik, and Teddy Coffey.
This week also features a musical performance by Christina Perri, who will sing "Burning Gold." I am ready for a jam-packed show. Is your favorite dancer safe?
Here we go! This is the So You Think You Can Dance
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
We kick off with a group routine set in a saloon, and all the dancers are wearing neon colors. This fun number was choreographed by Jamal Sims. Cat, our hostess, looks like a white, glittery disco ball from heaven.
Now give a hearty hello to our JUDGES! Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy are joined by guest judge, and Olympic Gold medalist Tara Lipinski. This week, Cat will reveal to the dancers individually whether or not they are in danger.Bridget Whitman and All-Star Brandon BryantBollywood Disco choreographed by Nakul Dev Mahajan
This is the first ever Bollywood Disco routine on So You Think You Can Dance
. This number is fun, fast, and energetic. Bridget really shines in this piece. Mary loves the spirit of the dance, and Nigel tortures us with terrible Bollywood jokes. Results:
Bridget is in danger.Tanisha Belnap and All-Star Ryan DiLelloArgentine Tango choreographed by Miriam and Leonardo
Tanisha is dancing in her style this week, although she has never done the Argentine Tango. This smoldering and passionate routine nearly ignites the floor. Mary is excited about the routine, and all the gravity-defying lifts. Nigel also compliments a lift where Ryan balances Tanisha on his neck. Yes, that really happened!

Tanisha is safe.
Emilio Dosal and All-Star Jasmine Harper
Hip-Hop choreographed by NappyTabs
Emilio is portraying a king, and Jasmine is his pet snake. I like this routine, but I think that Emilio is overshadowed a bit by Jasmine. Emilio gets raves all around, and Mary compliments his improvement week to week.
Emilio is in danger.
Valerie Rockey and All-Star Ade Obayomi
Jazz choreographed by Tyce Diorio
In this number, Valerie has to portray an angry character. It is a very athletic performance, but I feel that there is a lack of connection between Valerie and Ade. Tara doesn't feel that Valerie's emotions were consistent throughout the dance. Nigel didn't enjoy the performance and thought that Valerie seemed self-conscious compared to Ade.
Valerie is safe.
Rudy Abreu and All-Star Jenna Johnson
Cha-cha choreographed by Louis Van Amstel
This sizzling routine is an exercise in chemistry. Mary is beside herself with joy and gives Rudy a ticket for the hot tamale train. Nigel cautions Rudy not to go overboard with tricks like pointing at the camera. I think this is one of the sexiest routines this season, and I heartily approve!
Rudy is safe.
Jacque LeWarne and All-Star Chehon Wespi Tschopp
Contemporary Ballet duet choreographed by Travis Wall
This is another first for So You Think You Can Dance. This dance is elegant and lovely, and I also really like the way that the dancers' shadows are projected against the wall behind them. Nigel calls it "magnificent," and Jacque also gets positive feedback from the other judges.
Jacque is in danger.
Ricky Ubeda and All-Star Lauren Froderman
Jazz choreographed by Mandy Moore
This rockabilly routine is fun but it is not one of my favorites this week, although I like how Ricky's personality is on display. Tara thinks that Ricky's "perfection is starting to get annoying." Mary tells Ricky that he will have lots of work as a dancer because of his technique and ability.
Ricky is safe.Casey Askew and All-Star Kathryn McCormickBroadway choreographed by Spencer Liff
This number is about a game of "he loves me, he loves me not." The dance is smooth and elegant, but I feel like there is a lack of connection between Casey and Kathryn. Mary calls Casey "a star," and Nigel thinks that this style suits him well.
Casey is safe.Jessica Richens and All-Star Stephen "tWitch" BossHip-Hop choreographed by NappyTabs
tWitch is portraying an older gentleman at a bus stop who falls for a sexy young pin-up girl. Hey --tWitch looks adorable with gray hair and a fake tummy. Jessica has swag, and manages to hold her own with tWitch. Mary tells Jessica that the she will always remember this routine when she sees a bench on stage. That is some high praise! Nigel thinks that Jessica is just now discovering her own potential. Results:
Jessica is safe.Zack Everhart, Jr. and Amy YakimaContemporary choreographed by Sonya Tayeh
This emotional piece deals with a friend's sudden death. It is hypnotic and simply beautiful. This duo receives a standing ovation from the judges. Nigel is nearly speechless after watching the performance. Tara feels that Zack had a moment on stage. Results:
Zack is in danger.Music Performance
Christina Perri hits the stage to sing, accompanied by All-Stars Kathryn McCormick and Chehon Wespi-Tschopp.
