So You Think You Can Dance: Guests this week include Fergie, Ludacris, Debbie Allen
Black Eyed Peas product Fergie will join Ludacris on stage during Thursday's So You Think You Can Dance live results show for a performance of “Glamorous.”  The song is the third single from Fergie's debut album, The Dutchess.  The thematic conceit of “Glamorous” is that although Fergie has, and seems to enjoy, all the glamorous things that come with fame and wealth (like private jets, champagne and limos), she is still “real” and remembers her past and is down to earth.  One of the examples she uses to prove her point is that she still loves to eat at Taco Bell and drink beer out of keg cups.  Needless to say, the song is quite poignant.

Tonight on So You Think You Can Dance, in what is actually a bigger deal, legendary choreographer Debbie Allen will step in as the guest judge for the next two nights.  Debbie Allen's resume is a long and intimidating one, but these are some of the highlights:
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

Has choreographed the Academy Awards a record 10 times.

Worked as a director on various television shows, including
Fame, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, A Different World, Family Ties, All of Us, and Everybody Hates Chris.

Worked with various stars throughout the years, including Michael and Janet Jackson, Sammy Davis Jr., Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and many others.

Was a producer on the Steven Spielberg film
Amistad.

Was appointed to the President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities by George W. Bush.

Won a Golden Globe and two Emmys for her work on
Fame.

And there's a lot more, so in case you start wondering whether or not Debbie Allen is qualified to judge the dancers tonight, she absolutely is.  Probably more so than either Mary Murphy or Nigel Lythgoe.  In fact.  I can't remember another time when So You Think You Can Dance has brought on a special one-time judge.  It makes sense, considering there aren't a lot of big-name celebrity dancers.  Regardless, Debbie Allen's presence should bring a new dynamic to the show for the next couple days.
