Last night on
So You Think You Can Dance, the top seven couples took the stage. For the first time this season, each couple performed not one but two routines each, with styles ranging from the paso doble to hip hop to Broadway.
Katee and Josh wowed everyone with a hauntingly beautiful Mia Michaels contemporary piece, while Kourtni L. and Matt underwhelmed the judges with a mediocre hip hop performance.
But it's down to America's votes. The votes have been tallied, and three guys and three girls will have to dance for their lives. Who will they be?

Gev's and Courtney's solos were by far the best. I am sad to see Matt leave - I was kinda hoping he'd make...
The hour opens with a Tyce Diorio Broadway group performance to "Money Money" from
Cabaret. The performance ends with the dancers throwing fake bills, printed with Nigel Lythgoe's mug on them, all over the stage.
Tonight, Cat Deeley is wearing a strapless red dress with a gold Cleopatra-style necklace. She introduces our....joodges! Again, Tabitha and Napoleon D'Umo join Mary Murphy and Nigel Lythgoe at the judges' table.
After a brief montage of mean Tyce Diorio, Cat brings the first two couples out on stage.
Katee Shean and
Joshua Allen are safe, and so are
Kherington Payne and
Twitch Boss. Cat totally fakes them out, so when she says they are safe, they freak out with immense relief.
After the break,
Kourtni Lind and
Matt Dorame find out that they are in the bottom three for the third time.
Courtney Galiano and
Gev Manoukian are also in the bottom three, but
Chelsie Hightower and
Mark Kanemura are safe.
So that means that the final couple in the bottom three is either
Jessica King and
William Wingfield, or
Comfort Fedoke and
Thayne Jasperson. Cat opens the envelope and announces that the couple in the bottom three is Comfort and Thayne. No surprise there.
The dance guest tonight is Robert Muraine, the popper who dropped out after the Las Vegas auditions. He pops tonight to C+C Music Factory, and he's just as gross and boneless (but definitely awesome!) as ever. After his performance, Nigel ribs him for giving up in Vegas and the suggests a dance-off between him and Phillip Chbeeb. We might see them battle it out in the finale! Woohoo!
Now, it's time for the solos. Kourtni Lind goes first, and I have to say that I'm more impressed with her than I was last week. She must have really worked on her choreo.
Matt Dorame goes next, and it's again more of the same from him, which means amazing technicality, but kind of a boring performance.
Next on stage is Courtney Galiano. She starts out with a huge jete and then like twenty turns in a row. She brings a high-energy intensity to her solo.
Gev Manoukian shows his hip hop moves next. Wow! He does amazing aerial moves. He is also very high-energy, and I have no doubt that he and Courtney will be safe. He gives Cat the fright of her life at the end of his solo.
Comfort Fedoke dances next, and she must really feel the pressure to not get eliminated. She really looks like she's dancing for her life, with an almost desperate quality to her dancing.
For the final solo of the evening, Thayne Jasperson dances to "I Want to Break Free" by Queen. Great song, but only meh dancing from Thayne.
The judges leave the auditorium to make their decisions. In the meantime, OneRepublic performs.
After the break, the judges are back, and Nigel announces their decision. The judges are not unanimous, but here are their decisions. Courtney Galiano is safe. Comfort is safe (although she wasn't Nigel's choice) but Kourtni Lind will not be returning to
So You Think You Can Dance.
Now for the boys. Gev is safe. Thayne is safe, which means that Matt is going home.
Who had the best solo tonight?
