So You Think You Can Dance 3 schedule announced
Fox has announced details of So You Think You Can Dance’s third season schedule. As usual, the season will begin with the pre-taped open auditions from various cities, followed by call-backs, before beginning the live performance shows that viewers can vote on.

Here’s a quick run-down of the schedule as announced by Fox:

Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

Thursday, May 24, 8 pm – 9:25 pm, New York City open auditions
Wednesday, May 30, 8 pm – 10 pm, Chicago & Los Angeles open auditions
Thursday, May 31, 9 pm – 10 pm, Atlanta open auditions

Following the open auditions, the judges will invite the most talented potential contestants to fly to Las Vegas for the call-back week to work with the show’s choreographers.

Wednesday, June 6, 9 pm – 10 pm – Las Vegas Round
Thursday, June 7, 9 pm – 10 pm – Las Vegas Round

Following the Las Vegas call-backs, twenty finalists will be chosen - ten female and ten male. These twenty will perform on the first live show.

Wednesday, June 13, 8 pm – 10 pm – first performance & viewer vote show
Thursday, June 14, 9 pm – 10 pm, first live results show, eliminating two contestants (one male and one female.)

This will be the regular slot for So You Think You Can Dance – two-hour performance shows on Wednesdays at eight, followed by a one-hour results show Thursdays at nine. It’s already known that the August 9 show will be pre-empted by an NFL preseason game, so the results of the August 8 performances will be shown on Tuesday, August 14.

The season final of So You Think You Can Dance is scheduled to air on Thursday, August 16, and will be a two-hour show starting at eight pm.

As many of these dates are still some time away, last-minute adjustments may occur, but we’ll keep you updated on any major changes.
