'Smallville's Ratings Soar; No Repeats for Next Two Weeks
First, the good news.  Smallville managed to haul in more than its usual share of audiences for the episode "Conspiracy" last week, which means it's getting more likely for the CW to hold on to the show.  We're certainly glad to hear about the 2.53 million viewers that tuned in, raising the numbers from the previous 2.42 million.

Since it's one of those high-rated scripted series that the network has invested in, you'd think they'd give it more airtime.  Unfortunately, we've got some bad news too.

We reported earlier that there's a delay coming up for Smallville.  The next new episode is scheduled to air on April 2, and we all expected reruns until then.  But that isn't the case now, since the CW has opted to release reality shows instead.

According to Kryptonsite, there won't be any episodes of Smallville on March 12 and 19.  Instead, we'll see a repeat of America's Next Top Model and the network's new reality series known as High Society.  Are they making us miss Clark Kent that much?

While this is a slight errr...slight to us fans of Smallville, we can only hope that we'll get an impressive episode once the series returns in April.  If you've seen the preview for the upcoming installment, you know that it's very promising.  Well, that's usually what we get from promo clips anyway.

To tide you over for the next couple weeks, catch the incredibly powerful video of the next Smallville episode below.  It's going to be quite a power play as everyone struggles to gain control: of their teams, of their own destiny and of everyone else's.

Oh, and if you're wary of minor spoilers, we suggest not playing the clip at all.  But can you resist?

Though there won't be any new Smallville episodes in the near future, don't worry; we'll still keep you updated about the show (*cough* season 10 *cough*).  Even the Man of Steel wouldn't dare beat the likes of us to getting any casting news or developments that pop up.
