'Smallville' Season 7 Episode 1 - "Bizarro" Recap
'Smallville' Season 7 Episode 1 - "Bizarro" Recap
Smallville returns for a seventh season with the episode “Bizarro.”  Picking up where the season 6 finale, Clark (Tom Welling) must deal with a dam collapse, Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) has been charged with Lana's (Kristin Kreuk) murder, Chloe (Allison Mack) hangs on the brink of death after resurrecting Lois (Erica Durance), and a ‘bizarre' Clark is stalking Smallville. Will the young-man of steel set everything right?

Smallville kicks off with the dam bursting, sending a wall of water downstream.  Clark rushes to head it off and evaporates all of it with his heat vision.  Steamed trout anyone?   Back at the damn Lois meets up with a little boy while she tries to rouse Chloe.

The police car Lex is in is swept under water and his air supply is going quickly.  He catches a glimpse of a figure in white who saves him and then flies off.  Yes, it is Kara.  Later, Lex decides she was an angel and can't figure out why he was saved.  He decides to turn himself back in to the police.

Bizarro and Clark tussle and Bizarro is impaled on an electrical tower.  Later, we find out that Bizarro can heal himself with Kryptonite and somehow absorbs the energy from it.

Clark saves Lois and Chloe and they take Chloe to the hospital.  Lois is convinced that Lex is involved and   heads off to confront him.  While he is gone Chloe is pronounced dead, but wakes up in the morgue and Clark frees her from a corpse drawer.

At the Luthor estate, Lois runs into Bizarro, who is feeling a little frisky.  He puts the moves on Lois, who naturally thinks he is Clark, and winds up grabbing some tush.  She slaps him and leaves, with a crooked grin.

Bizarro catches up with Lex and demands he help him kill Clark.  He needs lots of meteor rocks.  Lex is resistant at first, but he sees the potential.  He is a bit conflicted, but so much for his redemption.

At the Clark farm, Chloe is weeping over videos of Lana when Clark comes home.  They begin to piece together the mystery, Scooby Snacks not included. Chloe tells Clark he needs to get on the flying thing since Bizarro can.  They surmise that Bizarro is going to charge up on Kryptonite and will be virtually indestructible. So Clark goes to Martian Manhunter for help.

Lex turns on Bizarro at the Kryptonite storage and demands to know where he came from. Bizarro dispatches him easily and Clark turns up just in time to see Bizarro load up on Kryptonite.  Game on.  Bizarro basically whoops Clark's butt with one double-fisted punch, but the dude of steel quickly rebounds with a little sunlight.  Looks like sunlight is Bizarro's kryptonite, so Clark uppercuts him out of the atmosphere.  Not the most epic of Smallville super battles.

Clark meets with Martian Manhunter who councils him on the goodness within him, something Clark is wrestling with in the wake of his mission to kill Lex.  Cue the montage of people mourning, and moving on, and off to China where we see Lana, alive and well.  The final scene is Kara on a water tower changing her clothes. She flies off.  Roll credits.
