'Smallville' Season 7 DVDs Coming in September
It's only been a week since Smallville aired its thrilling finale, but Warner Home Video has already released information about the DVDs for the complete seventh season.  Fans who are looking forward to saying goodbye to Lana (Kristin Kreuk) and Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) all over again will want to mark September 9 on their calendars.  That's the day that all 20 episodes of the season will hit stores on both DVD and Blu-ray, and they'll come packaged with a bevy of awesome extras.  Read on for more information about the sets, as well as a glimpse of the extremely blue box art.

As with most television DVD sets, Smallville's episodes will be presented in anamorphic widescreen and with Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound.  The bonus materials will include a featurette about Supergirl (Laura Vandervoort), a "Jimmy on Jimmy" featurette, and the Smallville "Legends" mobisodes.  TVShowsOnDVD.com reports that commentaries may be added at a later date, but none have been announced yet.  Smallville fans can pick up the complete season for around $60 on DVD, or $80 on Blu-ray.

I'm happy to see that they're including the mobisodes, which mostly revolve around Supergirl's adventures. When the Lost season 4 DVDs were recently announced, there was a bit of controversy over the fact that the show's "Missing Pieces" mobisodes were not included.  In my opinion, it's the extra content that truly makes a set worth purchasing.  If I'm going to spend up to $60 on a season of television, I like to know that I'm getting all the available bonus materials.
