Remember when we said that showdowns will be happening soon
? We've got one tonight, and it involves three major characters of the series. And no, Chloe and Lois won't be fighting over Clark.

On tonight's latest "Upgrade," Zod (Callum Blue) continues to pose as The Blur. As we expect, this carries numerous consequences. One of which is manipulating Lois (Erica Durance).
Zod tells her to investigate one of Tess' secret laboratories, and she agrees, only to be stuck inside as an explosion occurs. Lucky for her, we have John Corben (Brian Austin Green) to save the day. Having undergone multiple experiments, the man acquired superpowers and has become Metallo.
Despite helping our damsel who's often in distress, we'll see changes in Corben that will turn him into the villain we know today. On the trailer below, Zod informs Clark (Tom Welling) that this man is a threat to the both of them. In a shocking turn of events, the two enemies team up to fight one foe.
If what you witnessed isn't bad enough, Clark also gets exposed to red kryptonite as he investigates Tess' (Cassidy Freeman) lab. As he gets more and more infected, his delirium causes him to take Zod to the Fortress. It also helps that his enemy is skilled in persuasion.
Meanwhile, Tess realizes how dangerous things are becoming and turns to Chloe (Allison Mack) for help. They drag John Corben to the scene in order to stop Zod and Clark, but these two seem unstoppable already. Worse, the latter is about to reveal all his secrets.
It already sounds like the final battle between Zod and Kal-El already. Smallville
just keeps getting more intense, especially when it comes to the season's villains. Last week we had Amanda Waller scouting out the Justice League members, hoping to eliminate them via the Watchtower. Before that, there was the Silver Banshee whose wail still rings in our ears.
Now that we have Metallo, one of DC's greatest baddies, on Smallville
, there's bound to be more chaos to ensue. He has to be that terrible if Zod and Clark have to work together to stop him. Unfortunately for them, he has Tess and Chloe on his side. Who Do You Think Will Be Back for the Finale?
Don't forget to catch tonight's episode, "Upgrade", as Smallville
airs at 8pm on the CW.
