There's a family reunion tonight on , as Clark (Tom Welling) faces his biological father at last. Julian Sands enters the scene as Jor-El, who comes to Earth in search of his son.
On "Kandor," Jor-El arrives at the Kent farm looking for Kal-El. Unfortunately for him, he isn't around and he instead encounters a different being - Chloe (Allison Mack). It's a good thing she doesn't intend to capture the guy and claim his powers. That's already someone else's job.
Zod, meanwhile, is on the lookout for the Red-Blue Blur and he believes that the superhero he's targeting is Jor-El. In the hopes of capturing him and discovering the secret to his powers, our villain gets some back-up. Tess (Cassidy Freeman) comes around to meet him and offers him her assistance. She may even gain more than what she asked for when it comes to working with Zod.
But Tess doesn't know what she's in for, since Clark is furiously scouring the planet for Jor-El. Upon discovering where his dad is, he races back to Earth before Zod gets him. Clark knows he has to get through Tess, and nothing is going to save her from his clutches.
Seeing how unforgivable it is to kidnap someone's father, Clark unleashes his fury on Tess in the trailer below. It's essentially just good guy comeuppance.
With Jor-El being held captive, Clark could risk revealing his identity to Zod (again) if he wants to save his dad. Unless, of course, he actually does manage to rush in and reclaim Jor-El before Zod appears.
The episode also stars Erica Durance as Lois and Justin Hartley as Oliver, but we're not entirely sure how they'll fit into tonight's storyline. Anyway, don't forget to watch "Kandor", directed by Jeannot Szwarc and written by Turi Meyer & Al Septien.
Smallville airs at 8pm tonight on the CW.
