If you don't know it yet, tomorrow marks one of the CW's biggest events - the two-hour special for Smallville titled "Absolute Justice." Though we're trying our best not to be too thrilled about it, we just can't help ourselves. That's two hours of the show and it's already premiering tomorrow, so kick off those collective screams of excitement.
But even though we'll get to see the whole thing in a few hours, we've still managed to gather some teasers for the TV movie. The network released a couple of clips, in addition to an interview with the Smallville producers from TV Guide Magazine. Since they have a lot to say about "Absolute Justice," you better proceed with caution.
Possible "Absolute Justice" spoilers below!
"It's the arrival of the Justice Society of America," executive producer Kelly Souders said. Well, we knew about that already, but it makes a nice opening sentence.
"None of our characters knew that a society [of heroes] had existed before them,"
Smallville co-showrunner Brian Peterson added. "They thought they were the pioneers."
The legendary Geoff Johns also had his share of words about "Absolute Justice," and it certainly sounds promising. "The JSA has been disbanded for quite some time, for various reasons that are uncovered in the episode. Now someone is targeting them, so Clark and his team of heroes [have to] get involved."
If the clip below is any indication, our heroes really will find themselves tangled up in this mess. Chloe (Allison Mack) and Oliver (Justin Hartley) discover that they're being tracked, and they have to find out who's behind it all before they face danger once again.
On the next clip, Clark (Tom Welling) goes investigating and finds evidence that isn't to his liking. But he won't be the only one meddling in the JSA situation; we can bet Lois (Erica Durance) will tag along and get into her own bit of trouble.
But trouble will be the only thing that brings all these superheroes together, and it's going to be quite a scene to witness. Actor Justin Hartley revealed just what to expect from these powerful beings.
"Clark's superspeeding, Hawkman's doing his thing with the mace, Stargirl is doing flips and stuff, Oliver is shooting his arrows...it all takes place at once," he announced. "It's a firefight with superheroes!"
Don't forget, the
Smallville event "Absolute Justice" will kick off tomorrow, February 5 at 8pm on the CW.
