if this weeks Smallville, 'Combat', left you craving more super powered action, fear not!  The season finale of Smallville promises to deliver on a scale so far unmatched for the show.   After a season that saw such wonders as the Justice League, the Green Arrow, and of course, Titan vs Clark, how could Smallville's creative team possibly rise to the occasion? Read on to find out who Clark's ultimate rival will be when Smallville closes the book on its sixth season!

Smallville's finale will have Clark facing his biggest challenge yet when he squares off against, himself!  Yes, that is right, Clark will have to fight Bizarro Clark in the Smallville season finale titled 'Phantom'.  There are scant other details of what will go down when Clark trades punches with his pale, weird, self, but it can't be good for Clark, that is for sure.

TV Guide's Michael Ausiello adds that this episode will also see the return of Martian Manhunter.  Will the alien superhero once again come to Clark's aid or will it be somebody else, perhaps... Chloe?  That's right, we've known for a while now that Chloe is a meteor freak but her abilities are unknown to us.  The rumor is (according to www.kryptonsite.com) that the finale will be when we finally learn what makes Chloe tick.

In all, this season of Smallville has really upped the ante in a lot of ways on-screen and off.  With the Lana Lex wedding actually happening, the dramatic elements of the series are completely out of whack.  And speaking of which, with Michael Rosenbaum leaving next season, shouldn't we anticipate Lex to be revving up his evil a little more in the finale?  So far no word of if, or how, he is involved, but it is a pretty safe bet Luthor will be somewhere near the center of the action.
