Previously on Smallville: Chloe became a homicidal maniac because of Brainiac, Davis became a homicidal maniac because he's Doomsday and Kara got locked up in the Phantom Zone.

Lois makes the rash decision to move in with Clark on the farm to get away from from Chloe and Jimmy. This shouldn't be awkward at all. Clark receives a gift - Tess' missing Blue Crystal. He picks it up and before you know it, Clark and Lois are trapped in the Phantom Zone, flying through space.

Lois (Erica Durance) and Clark (Tom Welling) wake up in the PZ, and she naturally freaks the hell out because they're on another planet. Clark tries to calm her down, but she's certain they've been abducted. Maybe Clark is so calm because he wouldn't mind a good probing.

They get attacked by a masked woman. It's Kara, Warrior Princess, wearing one of the silliest, worst costumes I've ever seen on Smallville. She looks a little like the mentally-challenged step-sister of Legolas from The Lord of the Rings..

Kara knows of a portal back to Earth, but she hasn't used it out of fear the Zoners would get out like they did when Clark used a portal to escape the PZ. Lois is stunned that Kara is there, but she's dumb enough to believe that all three of them were abducted by aliens. They open the portal for Lois while Clark fights off the Zoner, but I guess he's not so super in the PZ, because one gets through and jumps into Lois' body once she gets back to Earth.

Back on Earth, Chloe (Allison Mack) shows up to Kent farm and only finds the Blue Crystal. She pockets it before Tess (Cassidy Freeman) shows up, searching for the source of a power surge she detected. As always, Tess is quite bad-ass with an icy cold stare.

In Metropolis, Chloe tries to reach Oliver, but he's busy in Venezuela. I thought he said he went to Europe for a Justice League summit on the last episode of Smallville? Maybe he's just picking up Cyborg and Impulse. She eventually finds him and convinces Oliver (Justin Hartley) to steal a generator from Tess so she can hack the Blue Crystal.
