Smallville: Chloe made the unfortunate decision to help Davis keep his psychotic, murderous secret locked away in her basement while Jimmy developed an unfortunate drug habit.
Chloe's bedtime is interrupted by a call from Davis who is feeling
uneasy, so she visits him in the basement. Uneasy or horny? The
answer is the latter, because when she comes down she sees candles and
flowers. He tells her that he's still madly in love with her, saying
things like "Without you, the man that I want to be doesn't exist."
If you think that's just a cheesy pick-up line, you're smarter than Chloe, who gets thrown against the wall and begins passionately making out with Davis. The moment is ruined by a giant streak of blood on the floor that she follows until she wakes up from this nightmare. So I guess this means she's only stupid enough to make out with a psychotic killer in her dreams. That's...better?
After a restless night, Chloe is visited by Cark, who is disturbed by Tess Mercer's front page story on Serial Killer Davis Bloom. Clark isn't so sure he's really dead, but Chloe tries her hardest to convince him that Davis is gone. This is just a bad situation she's making a whole lot worse.
Meanwhile at the newly merged LuthorCorp, new CEO Oliver Queen is going green, which is actually a pretty clever joke given his secret identity. Jimmy barges in wanting to borrow $600 and Oliver is smart enough to spot a junkie when he sees one, so he refuses.
Chloe is looking for help, so she takes some of Davis' DNA to the Queen Industries scientist who helped cure the Martian Manhunter when he was shot. The scientist (played by
Battlestar Galactica's Alessandro Juliani, aka Felix Gaeta) agrees to help study Davis' DNA, but he'd prefer to have the actual alien.
When the doctor leaves, Davis shows up begging for Chloe to come back to him because she's the only one who can stop his inner demon and photos of her or strands of hair don't work. She surprisingly doesn't comment on the fact that he's apparently collecting strands of her hair, and letting crazy things like that slide is another bad sign.
