Lois gets into her car, whining about how slutty that girl looked, when Maxima shows up, picks up Lois’ car and throws it across the street, with Lois still in it. Lois is miraculously fine and gets into an argument with Maxima, who believes Clark and Lois have a unique bond that threatens her love, so Maxima’s only solution is to kill her rival.

Tess visits Chloe for some help in finding out what “Kryptonian” is. Chloe refuses, but Tess sticks around until Clark shows up to get some assistance of his own. Tess and Clark talk about Maxima, and she pulls out the blue crystal, saying it’s the only thing left at the scene of Lex’s disappearance. Clark pretends not to know what it is, and when Tess gets a call from the cops who tracked down Maxima, which Clark overhears.

He rushes to the scene of the crime, saves Lois, and gets into an argument with Maxima about how he doesn’t want her, even though he’s all she wants: a real man. Clark vows that he doesn’t want her, even though she makes a convincing argument that no Earthly woman can be his equal. He activates her teleportation bracelet that sends her back to her home planet.

The next morning, Chloe prepares to pick up Jimmy from the hospital, though she admits to Clark that she knows that Jimmy “macked on an alien princess.” Clark tells her he didn’t have a chance, having known the power of Maxima. Chloe shows Clark the love letter, and he’s not that surprised as he always sort of knew that she had a thing for him. She says Clark missed his chance, and now she loves Jimmy, but Clark will always be her BFF, so she asks if Clark will give her away at the altar.

Clark offers an early wedding present - erasing the Brainiac computer in her head. He can use the crystal Tess has to reactivate Jor-El and get her cured. The only problem is Tess has the crystal under heavy security. Chloe realizes Tess wanted her to help crack the super computer in the crystal, so Chloe goes to Tess to help, only to learn the crystal was stolen.

Lois pays a visit to Clark and the two discuss soul mates and true love. He wonders how he’ll know when he meets his real soul mate, and she says he’ll just know. Lois is looking for a place to live, and though Clark offers her old room on the farm, she doesn’t think it’s a good idea.

Finally, Tess gets a mysterious e-mail saying she’s not ready to know about the crystal yet. It’s signed with a red “X.” Does anyone want to bet against it being Doomsday?
