The Legion offer Clark a history lesson by telling him today is the day he kills Brainiac, but since the shield is smashed, the only way to do this is to the kill the host, aka Chloe. Clark runs away, which the Legion finds amusing because he hasn’t learned to fly yet. They also let him know they’ve never heard of Chloe Sullivan, so she probably dies.

Martian Girl tries to get Lana to help, but it doesn’t work. So instead, the Legion decide that since Brainiac’s death is what must trigger Clark’s ascent into Superman, they’re going to kill Chloeiac themselves. This is why Superman always works alone - silly little followers always come up with stupid schemes.,

Up at the Dark Fortress, Clark meets Chloeiac, who is feeling especially confident because of her body. She knocks Clark down and speeds away, leading him off the scent of Davis’ ongoing metamorphosis in the crystals.

Chloeiac’s plan is to interact with the Internet in the Daily Planet and force everyone looking at a computer into a trance so she can download all their information. The Legion arrive to stop her by combining Lightning Lad’s electricity with Cosmic Boy’s magnetism. They pound fists, so I’m glad to see that form of celebration is still around one millennium from now.
