Since "Absolute Justice" won't be around until next year, the fans are ravenous for news on Smallville. It's getting harder and harder to get updates on the show since it looks like everyone's been taking a break these days. Luckily, there's one actress who's so excited about joining the CW series that she just had to Tweet about it.
According to the Comic Book Movie site, model Mireille Urumuri managed to snag a part in an upcoming episode of Smallville. There haven't been any details released on what role she's bound to play, but as always, there are speculations.
Last Wednesday, she posted the good news on her Twitter page. "My agent called me at lunch to announce me that I BOOKED #SMALLVILLE =D Thanks everyone for all your support, you are the BEST!!" she wrote.
The aspiring actress and writer was applauded because she landed a role in the long-running CW show, for which she thanked her fans. "Thanks to all of you for your positve responses & RT for my #smallville booking :) Filming is in January2010 I will keep you all posted!"
Ururmuri still won't reveal what part she's going to play next year though. One guess of the publication is Vixen, which would tie in with the formation of the early Justice League. What's more, the actress really is a model, just like the character's Mari Jiwe McCabe.
Vixen's brief affiliation with the Suicide Squad also brings to mind the fact that
actress Pam Grier's going to play villainess Amanda Waller. It may be quite a long shot, but somehow it looks as though things are falling into place.
Still, if she isn't going to portray Vixen on
Smallville, there are several other characters to choose from. It's going to be a big step for Mireille Urumuri, since her IMDB profile only lists about three projects on film and TV. If you check out her site, she really is more into modeling anyway.
Urumuri's past credits include two short films known as
Book of Wisdom and
Chloe and Attie. She also had a role on an episode of
Fringe, but it doesn't seem as significant as this one on
Smallville. That's one lucky break.
