Smallville will come to an end this May after 10 seasons, and with only
11 episodes left, I've started thinking about how I want it all to end.
Since everyone watching already knows the Superman mythology, it's safe
to say Clark Kent and Lois Lane will survive, but how would you like the
series to wrap everything up?
It's safe to assume that Clark and his gang of superheroes will defeat season 10's Big Bad, Darkseid, but that alone won't make a satisfying conclusion to the series. Here are my top five wishes for how
Smallville will end.
Get Cape. Wear Cape. FlyWe saw the famous Superman costume in the Fortress of Solitude at the start of the season, so I'm hoping that the final scene of the series is Clark Kent putting on the iconic red and blue costume before flying away to save the day again. If this doesn't happen, the show will have a lot of explaining to do.
Wedding Bells and Baby BumpsWe saw the engagement, so it would only make sense if we also get to see their wedding. As an extra bonus, maybe the series could end with Lois Lane getting pregnant.
Will the Real Jimmy Olsen Please Stand UpWhen Jimmy died at the end of season 8, we learned that he wasn't that actual Jimmy, but rather his older brother. As an extra treat, maybe the real future photographer could make an appearance in the finale.
The Resurrection of Lex LuthorWe all know Lex Luthor is Superman's greatest nemesis, so even if he won't return as a big threat in the series, having the show end with his return would give fans plenty to think about for what would happen next.
Green Arrow in Star CityI know I'm not alone in wishing/hoping/praying for a Green Arrow spin-off, and the best way to set it up would be to end
Smallville by having Oliver Queen move to his true home of Star City to start a new life and, if the CW is smart, a new series for Fall 2011.
Those are my five, but what do you want to see in the
Smallville series finale?
